VAMBRA Establishes Strategic Partnership with Global Ultrasound Institute (USA) and CRI (Singapore) to Implement POCUS Initiatives Across Vietnam and Southeast Asia

On December 18, 2025, the Vietnam Association of Medical and Biomedical Research & Applications (VAMBRA) marked a significant milestone by officially joining the Southeast Asia POCUS (Point-of-Care Ultrasound) Development Initiative.

This is a high-level multilateral project between VAMBRA, the Global Ultrasound Institute (GUSI, USA), and the Center of Research and Innovation (CRI, Singapore).

POCUS: Transforming Clinical Diagnostics

Point-of-Care Ultrasound (POCUS) is a cost-effective, accessible, portable, and convenient diagnostic tool that complements clinical assessments. Today, this technology has proven its immense value in rapid diagnosis and clinical decision-making, particularly for patients in critical or rapidly deteriorating conditions. By empowering physicians to master ultrasound systems and effectively deploy POCUS, we significantly enhance the quality of care in emergency and critical care settings.

A Milestone in Vietnam-U.S. Cooperation: Advanced Training from GUSI

This collaboration marks a historic milestone as VAMBRA’s first official partnership with a research organization affiliated with the U.S. University system. Partnering with the Global Ultrasound Institute (GUSI)—a world leader in ultrasound training and standardization—reaffirms VAMBRA’s credibility and its capacity to meet the rigorous standards of the world’s most advanced healthcare systems.

A Vision for Southeast Asian Expansion

Looking beyond domestic borders, VAMBRA and its partners aim to establish Vietnam as a regional hub for POCUS training and implementation. The program is designed to expand its influence and transfer this model to neighboring Southeast Asian nations, elevating the technological standards of healthcare across the entire region.

The Foundation for a Breakthrough in 2026

The success of this partnership serves as a testament to VAMBRA’s proactive global integration. It creates a solid foundation for the Association to further expand its comprehensive collaborative network with prestigious academic partners in the United States throughout 2026.

By bridging global expertise, VAMBRA remains steadfast in its mission to modernize Vietnam’s medical landscape, delivering practical and sustainable value to public health.
